New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association - NZSCA

DESCRIPTION: The NZ Specialty Coffee Association (NZSCA), formerly the NZ Coffee Roasters Association (NZCRA), was formed in 2005 and is the national representative body for specialty coffee stakeholders in New Zealand. We have two guilds roaster and barista. Membership is open to all individuals or businesses which are engaged in specialty coffee commerce for the New Zealand market. We provide a forum for communication, professional development and coffee excellence.
The pioneers of our industry established as standard practice the use of high quality beans and attention to freshness; the next wave added close support of cafe owners and attention to preparation skills.
Today more than a hundred local roasters have carved niches in an expanding market, and some established roasters and emerging young baristas are taking the qualities of New Zealand coffee to the international stage.

NZ Buttercup Squash

DESCRIPTION: The New Zealand NZ Buttercup Squash Council (Inc) (NZBSC) is the New Zealand buttercup squash industry's governing body, established by government statute as the largest "Recognised Product Group" under the Horticultural Export Authority Act 1987. The NZBSC is responsible for all generic industry matters, including minimum grade standards, food safety and quality assurance programmes, developing new international markets for buttercup squash, generic in-market development and promotion as well as onshore activities such as research and development. The council and its activities are funded by levies on all export product. The industry is well organised. Being a recognised product group under the Horticulture Export Authority Act has enabled the development of minimum quality standards for export product and to license exporters who wish to sell the crop. All growers, packhouses and exporters must register with the New Zealand NZ Buttercup Squash Council yearly.

- provide quality research & development to create and maintain a sustainable integrated olive industry

- provide a focal organization which facilitates progressive direction for stakeholders in the olive industry.
To qualify for Olives New Zealand Certification, New Zealand olive oil must meet specific requirements. These include bottling and labelling standards as well as the chemical and sensory criteria that Olives New Zealand has based on the International Olive Council (IOC) standards for extra virgin olive oil.
