FSANZ Calls for comments on infant formula proposal

Food Standards Australia New Zealand is seeking comments on its proposed approach to revising infant formula requirements in the Food Standards Code. Call for submissions on new processing aid

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) today called for submissions on an application to permit a new processing aid. FSANZ Chief Executive Officer Steve McCutcheon said the applicant was seeking to permit the use of an agarose ion exchange resin to extract lactoferrin from milk. “This processing aid is already used elsewhere in the world to extract the lactoferrin from milk for use as an ingredient in other products,” Mr McCutcheon said. “FSANZ ... more

Call for submissions on GM application

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) today called for submissions on an application to permit food from a genetically modified corn line.
